Swedish Gravlax Crackers  Back to Recipes

Serves 15-20

  • 2 pounds Cured Salmon (Gravlax) (find in the cheese, prepared food or deli sections)
  • 1 block Plain Cream Cheese, softened to room temperature
  • ¼ cup fresh Dill, chopped
  • Dill, for garnishing each cracker
  • 1 Tablespoon Maple Syrup
  • Black Pepper, to taste
  • ½ teaspoon Paprika
  • Zest of ½ lemon
  • Crackers, a variety of your favorites!


In a medium bowl, combine cream cheese, chopped dill, maple syrup, pepper, paprika and lemon zest.

Cut gravlax into pieces the size of the crackers. Spread each cracker with cream cheese mixture. Top with a piece of gravlax and a garnish sprig of dill. Arrange crackers on plate for serving. Put the leftover cream cheese mixture in a serving dish with extra crackers for guests who prefer fishless crackers. Serve with Ecco Domani Pinot Grigio.
