Alexandre Plokhov and Robert Geller comprise the design team behind Cloak LLC. A Moscow native, Plokhov studied at the International Academy of Merchandising and Design, where he launched his own successful men's custom tailoring business. He later brought his incredible knack for pattern making to his position as head technical designer at Marc Jacobs in New York.

Hailing from Germany, Geller graduated from the Frankfurt International School. After an apprenticeship with a fashion photographer in Stuttgart and a year of photography studies in Paris, Geller pursued a degree in fashion design at Rhode Island School of Design, where he graduated with honors. Geller later landed an apprenticeship at Marc Jacobs. There, he met Plokhov, and the duo joined forces to create Cloak.
