Australia native Emma Fletcher launched her first clothing line on a whim, calling the swimwear collection Holmes & Lyell. With no prior fashion experience, Fletcher learned the trade as she went along, selling her designs to New York standard stores. After several years, she opened Lyell, a boutique featuring vintage clothing alongside Fletcher's own designs. Today, Lyell has grown into a vintage-inspired brand with boutiques in New York and Paris.
Guided by a sense of glamour and femininity, Fletcher creates simple, timeless designs for her Lyell label. Ultra-feminine details, such as pleats and pin-tucks, add visual interest and a sense of fun to otherwise everyday blouses and pencil skirts. Lyell's vintage-inspired silk dresses and beautifully tailored pea coats are sure to become favorites among Hollywood's red carpet regulars.
