2018 DELLE VENEZIE DOC

THE WINE

Ecco Domani Pinot Grigio wine offers light citrus and delicate floral aromas, tropical fruit flavors and a crisp, refreshing finish. Try matching our Pinot Grigio wine with light pastas, poultry and fish.

Our Ecco Domani delle Venezie IGT Italian Pinot Grigio Wine is pale straw in hue and has delicate floral aromas with a hint of citrus. On the palate, the wine offers tropical fruit flavors and a crisp, refreshing finish.

THE REGION

The three regions of Trentino-Alto Adige, Friuli-Venezia Giulia and Veneto encompass the delle Venezie IGT in northeastern Italy. This high altitude region is ideally suited to producing some of the best Italian Pinot Grigio grapes, crisp and elegant.

The grapes for this wine were gently crushed and pressed, and the juice was allowed to cold settle prior to fermentation in upright stainless steel tanks for three weeks at an average temperature of 64°F. The wine was aged sur lie for two months and then on light lees until bottling to preserve a clean and full mouthfeel.

VITICULTURE
NOTES

In 2013, delle Venezie had a challenging growing season. Weather conditions in Trentino-Alto Adige, Friuli-Venezia Giulia and Veneto were cooler than usual throughout the summer. Fortunately we harvested our Pinot Grigio fruit before the autumn rains arrived. The cooler growing season allowed us to craft one of the best Italian Pinot Grigio wines with more intense fruit aromas and a fresher acidity.
